MASTER FACILITY PLAN PROCESS UNDERWAY
Superintendent Dr. Ann Riebock provided a status report on the Master Facility Plan (MFP) process. The 31-member Steering Committee has begun meeting, has established a leadership team and is launching study groups to gather data. The purpose of the MFP process is to create a master plan consisting of short-term, intermediate and long-term facility recommendations. In addition to school buildings, the MFP will address playgrounds and green space, portable classrooms, parking lots and major capital assets such as heating and plumbing plants and technology infrastructure. These facilities are expected to last a long time, to perform well, to be flexible and to do what they were intended to do. A Master Facility Plan will identify, organize and prioritize facility needs, provide a practical framework and sound rationale for decisions around facilities, and will put needs in context with the district's educational vision.

SUMMER CAPITAL PROJECTS TO BE BID
The BOE authorized the administration to proceed with the bid process for potential summer projects. These projects are part of a 20-year capital projects and age & obsolescence plan. Once bids are in, the BOE will take action to authorize bids to be accepted. This will probably take place in a January meeting.
